I earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Computer Science from Columbus State University in my hometown of Columbus, Georgia. I began my career as a software engineer for Bytewise Measurement Systems–a small company in Columbus which is now a division of L.S. Starrett Company. We developed systems using a wide range of programming languages including C++, Visual Basic, Delphi, and C#. Our systems were integrated with other systems using digital and analog I/O as well as TCP/IP.
After almost 15 years in industry, I had an opportunity to transition into a full-time instructor role with Pensacola State College. I enjoy sharing my experiences with students and helping them pursue their career goals through PSC. It is an exciting time to teach in the computer science, information technology, and cybersecurity fields. With the rapid development of IoT, AI, machine learning, and the continuous evolution of cyber-attacks, I look forward to sharing a classroom with the future leaders in these fields.
